Job Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to lead the design and development of advanced process control systems for Metso's product portfolio, while delivering high-quality customer projects on time.

  • Develop technical specifications for process automation and software development.
  • Design PLC and APC applications, HMI, and SCADA systems, ensuring seamless integration with machine processes and control architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, and clients, to deliver successful projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in control system engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mineral processing industries.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with expertise in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integrations.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and APC systems, including experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC development.
  • Expertise in AVEVA (Citect) SCADA development and hands-on experience with industrial fieldbus protocols and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of variable speed drives design and commissioning, as well as control system commissioning and factory acceptance testing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
