Job Title

The Senior Mental Health Clinician role is a key position within the adult and older adult department, combining the strengths of Alfred Mental and Addiction Health Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services.

About the Department

The team provides integrated treatment, education, peer support, care planning, and navigation services designed to support individuals through every stage of their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Referral Assessment and Support
  • Provide face-to-face one-off assessments as well as secondary consultation and education to primary health providers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transitions and movement of consumers throughout the community program.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and registration with the relevant professional board via AHPRA.
  • Significant full-time clinical experience and postgraduate qualifications desirable.
  • Substantial experience in a mental health-based context, preferably in community settings.
  • A current driver's licence is required to undertake this role.
