Construction Risk Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Risk Engineer to provide expert advice to our underwriting team in the Asia Pacific region. This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on our business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive reviews for large industrial construction projects worldwide, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with regional engineers to conduct peer reviews, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, gather pertinent risk information, and offer recommendations to clients.
  • Review reports from regional engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Evaluate significant losses in construction projects, analyzing causes and developing strategies to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Provide training and support to other risk engineers and senior underwriters to enhance their expertise and effectiveness in risk assessment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, preferably holding a degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering. A minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in the construction industry is required, including experience as a site manager for heavy industries.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum ten years of experience in construction, including site management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel frequently
