Amana Living, a leading Aged Care provider in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at the Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie. About the Role
As a Physiotherapist at Amana Living, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to residents in our care facilities. Your expertise will be essential in assessing the physical and mobility needs of our residents, developing personalized care plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify residents' mobility, falls risk, and physical ability.
- Develop and implement holistic, individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and our multidisciplinary team.
- Provide individualized physiotherapy interventions, including equipment prescription, to promote resident mobility, reduce falls risk, and enhance quality of life.
- Monitor and review treatment objectives and interventions to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of group exercise programs in our care facilities, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary physiotherapy practice and ensure all clinical practice aligns with relevant legislative requirements, professional codes, and evidence-based guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with our Clinical Governance Framework and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Experience leading teams, motivating others, and collaborating to achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- COVID-19 and current 2024 flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- NDIS Screen (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
