About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization Technician to join our dynamic Central Sterilizing Services Department at Ellie Mental Health - 182. Our team works closely with Theatre staff to supply high-quality equipment for the daily running of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, pack, and sterilize all theatre instruments, including those for our ward and outside clients.
• Follow all standards associated with the role, ensuring the highest level of infection control and patient safety.
• Collaborate with our team to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in quality management systems and activities to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate III in Sterilization Practices or willingness to undertake study to achieve this level qualification.
• Hands-on ability to apply infection control principles, manage wastes and biohazards as it relates to the role.
• Availability, flexibility, and willingness to work shift duties, in all reprocessing areas, on a rotating roster that includes working weekends and public holidays.
• Adaptability to reasonable changes and actively support department's Quality Management Systems and activities.
