We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Mental Health Intake Specialist to join our team at Psychology: Leading Group. As a key member of our Referral and Access team, you will play a critical role in facilitating assessments and referrals for individuals seeking mental health support.
Key Responsibilities- Promptly respond to calls from individuals seeking mental health support, utilizing the Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool to ensure accurate and effective assessments.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to provide comprehensive support and guidance to individuals in need.
- Participate in case reviews and escalate risks and issues to the Lead, Mental Health Referral and Access as necessary.
- Proactively identify and address potential barriers to care, ensuring that individuals receive the most appropriate mental health services available.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with referrers, services, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Tertiary qualification in a clinical health-related field and registration with the relevant board or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
- Minimum 3 years' clinical mental health experience, with a comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and services available in the region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
