About the Role:

This Senior Tax Accountant position is a key part of our client's Fund Administration Team, working closely with various stakeholders across Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting deliverables to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Review and validation of distribution calculations, superannuation fund tax calculations, and tax returns to ensure compliance.
  • Effective management of clients and auditors throughout the tax audit process, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Maintenance and review of client tax profiles and security static data used for reporting and tax calculations, ensuring accuracy and up-to-dateness.
  • Proactive response to client queries, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Fulfillment of operational compliance and risk policies to maintain a secure and controlled environment.
  • Collaborative contribution to project completion, including testing of tax templates, to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, with expertise in tax and financial services.
  • Strong background in custody and/or funds management, with a deep understanding of the industry.
  • A degree qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance, with a solid foundation in relevant principles and practices.

Compensation:

The estimated daily rate for this position is approximately $250-$300 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
