Building Damage Assessor

Maas Constructions is seeking a motivated Building Damage Assessor to join our high-performing team in Tamworth, NSW.

The ideal candidate will assess damage to insured properties and provide accurate assessment reports and repair budgets for insurers to review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the property loss or damage and determine policy coverage
  • Communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes, and claim progress to stakeholders
  • Support the Insurance Manager to identify customer resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations
  • Determine an appropriate claim fulfilment method that balances customer requirements
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected or agreed timeframes

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in the Building and Construction Industry preferred
  • Willingness to travel and spend prolonged periods working out of the office
  • Ability to use technology and systems to execute the role efficiently
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards
