About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Specialist to join our team. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for coordinating overall design activities, project submission schedules, and QA/QC duties to ensure the final product meets technical requirements and client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform independent planning and design tasks, review work of others, prepare construction documents, and successfully deliver projects.
  • Handle technically complex projects.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships within the project team.
  • Possess knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform final QA/QC review of project submissions.
  • Develop schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
  • Work closely with project teams to describe and deliver scope of work.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors.
  • Perform design calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain design budgets for complex scopes of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant Engineering from an ABET-accredited school, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years' job-related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of the A/E industry and ability to resolve complex design and construction issues quickly.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software, or similar programs.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to technical excellence.
  • Proactive in staying current with industry standards and emerging technologies.
