Our client is seeking a Development Engineering Officer to fill this key role.

About the Role:
  • Provide strategic advice for planning referrals, including assessment and preparation of planning permit conditions.
  • Evaluate subdivision works to ensure compliance with planning permit conditions.
  • Conduct quality control inspections of subdivision works.
  • Assess traffic management and road safety issues resulting from customer requests.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
  • Supervise Capital Works Projects as required.
  • Operate the Asset Protection Permit process.
  • Coordinate works within Council's road reserves by service providers.
  • Prepare correspondence related to key responsibility areas.

We require a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, or substantial experience in subdivision development, civil engineering construction/supervision, traffic management and road safety.

Candidates should possess skills in word processing, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, design preparation, and cost estimation for minor civil engineering projects.

A Victorian driver's license is also essential.
