Job Overview

A competitive $120,000 - $150,000 per annum salary is on offer for a skilled Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to lead our Brisbane branch workshop team.

About the Role

This hands-on leadership position involves supervising and guiding a team of workshop staff to deliver timely servicing and repair of clients' heavy equipment with the highest standard of workmanship. To be successful in this role, you will have trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic/Fitter, extensive trade experience in the construction equipment sector, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of workshop staff in performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of customer heavy equipment
  • Effective communication with equipment owners, customers, and staff
  • Manage workshop procedures and workflow efficiently
  • Fault-finding skills and ability to read service-related drawings

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a leading hand role
  • Competent fault-finding skills and ability to read service-related drawings
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build a great team environment
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and evidence of any additional qualifications or current licenses
  • Ability to participate in product and company training when available
