About the Opportunity:


EnergyAustralia is seeking a highly skilled Security Architect to deliver technical guidance and leadership in the areas of cyber security, system security, and secure by design development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of secure architecture designs, including the application of all required security controls.
  • Strengthen the business case review process to ensure conformance to a secure architecture design.
  • Lead evaluation teams to identify suitable technologies for EA's successful migration to the Cloud.
  • Develop security baseline requirements and adapt them as new technologies and solutions emerge.
  • Lead architecture security reviews and endorse compliant proposed solutions.
  • Ensure the adoption of new/emerging security technologies.

About You:


To succeed in this role, you'll have architecture or security engineering experience in a complex corporate environment. You'll also have some of the following:



  • A recognized university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience with solution and security architecture.
  • Experience evaluating security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies for networking systems.
  • Experience supporting and executing cyber and risk management framework requirements.
  • Practical experience in cloud security architecture design for IaaS platforms.
  • Threat modelling and control selection.
