Lead Frontend Engineer

We are on a mission to make a meaningful difference and provide one billion jobs. Our cutting-edge frontend stack incorporates Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.

This role involves building and maintaining our Design System and its component library to ensure a consistent and scalable UI across all products. You will create high-quality, reusable UI components using Angular, TypeScript, and CSS.

You will work closely with designers and product managers to implement seamless, delightful user experiences. Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to help raise the bar for frontend quality and performance is also part of this role.

Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, usability issues, and frontend bugs across the platform is crucial. Participating in architecture discussions and helping shape the frontend direction of our platform is also expected.

Collaborating across engineering teams to support adoption and integration of the design system company-wide is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining the Design System and its component library
  • Creating high-quality, reusable UI components
  • Working closely with designers and product managers
  • Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship
  • Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, usability issues, and frontend bugs
  • Participating in architecture discussions and shaping the frontend direction
  • Cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with frontend frameworks and technologies - JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Angular/React/Vue
  • Ability to write reusable UI components
  • Experience working with a design system
  • Experience with automated testing for frontend code
  • Experience working in an agile, continuously shipping environment
  • Unix or Linux experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to self-manage work
  • Self-motivation and a track record of learning new technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability
