Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Rehabilitation Consultant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting occupational therapy assessments, designing and delivering meaningful intervention programmes, and developing tailored rehabilitation plans that meet the needs of clients.

  • Conducting occupational therapy assessments to identify client functional capacity, home and workplace ergonomic needs, and equipment requirements.
  • Designing and delivering intervention programmes that build functional capacity and independence in clients.
  • Developing return to work strategies and rehabilitation plans that empower client recovery.
  • Navigating multiple funding schemes to support client needs.
  • Collaborating with clients, families, medical teams, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.

You will also need strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and confidence working independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to inform rehabilitation planning.
  • Designing and implementing interventions to achieve client goals.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive services.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
