About the OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our production team. As a trade qualified carpenter, you will play a key role in mentoring and training our apprentices, while also contributing to the assembly and construction of our steel framed transportable and modular buildings.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in steel framed structures, excellent leadership and mentoring skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for:
- Erecting and assembling steel framed transportable and modular building units
- Fitting out buildings with doors, windows, air conditioning units, and other accessories
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications
- Leadership, mentoring, and setting an example for others
- Completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner with a high attention to detail
- Helping to develop the skills and sign-off requirements of apprentices
- Being flexible to perform other duties within the workshop environment when required
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual who shares our company values of honesty, integrity, respect, commitment, and a sense of pride in their work. You will be able to work autonomously on a variety of tasks and projects, effectively managing competing timelines while staying flexible enough to deal with urgent situations as required.
You will need to be able to work in a highly physical environment involving many manual tasks, and ideally have your own transport. We offer a flexible working schedule, with regular overtime opportunities for those who wish to take it.
