The Senior Platform Engineer role at Optus is a pivotal position that drives the development and management of a robust and scalable platform infrastructure.

This role requires a seasoned professional who can design, build, and coordinate the management of a sophisticated platform that empowers engineering teams to access and use platform resources efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in scripting and automation, infrastructure as code, containerization, and monitoring, with a strong background in security and compliance.

Key responsibilities include owning the design and development of a scalable platform infrastructure, orchestrating automation of platform management and deployment processes, and using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure through code.

The Senior Platform Engineer will also lead efforts in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, and optimize platform performance to ensure reliability and optimal performance.

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for automation and optimization, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to collaborate with multi-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts.
