About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist to join our team on a fixed-term, full-time or part-time basis. As an Agronomist with Elders, you will have the opportunity to work with clients to provide technical advice and support, helping them create successful, sustainable, and productive businesses.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, with experience in broadacre farming. They will be able to provide high-level customer service, cultivate relationships with growers, and thrive in a collaborative working environment.

  • Provide agronomic and technical support to clients, recommending products and services to strengthen their businesses
  • Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with forecasting and inventory management
  • Promote branch staff upskilling through technical advice, mentorship and product recommendations
  • Develop and foster professional relationships with existing and new clients
  • Assist with field days, farmer meetings and trial/demonstration work
  • Work as part of the rural products sales team to build client relationships and drive success
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop spray and fertiliser programs
  • Conduct water, soil and plant tissue testing
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Able to thrive in a collaborative working environment
  • Smart, resourceful, and able to embrace industry research and new technology
  • Passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work
  • Have a qualification in Agronomy with experience in broadacre
  • Have an ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers
