Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to join our client's finance team in Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial operations, accounting software, and process improvement to drive efficiency and accuracy in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Mastery: Ensure the accuracy of all reconciliations during month-end processes.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc journal entries to maintain the integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Financial Analysis: Interpret and explain financial results to support business decisions and drive finance performance.
  • Support & Review: Provide assistance and review other accounting functions at month-end.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance team efficiency and implement changes to improve overall performance.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the external audit team.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Handle ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in finance (CPA/CA qualified).
  • System Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to ensure accounting operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in forecasting and planning.
