Job Description

Hume City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of our new Active Living Strategy.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract for 2 years, full-time position that offers a competitive salary package and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote sport, recreation, and leisure activities in Hume City.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of our Active Living Strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the objectives of this position.
  • Provide planning and design advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote our Active Living Strategy.

Requirements

  • Tertiary or postgraduate degree in sport, recreation, or leisure planning or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in sport, recreation, or leisure planning or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
