Job Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Specialist to join our Digital Banking and Payments team. As the go-to expert for card payments and transaction processing systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our customers' transactions.

You will have a deep understanding of Visa, FPA, and payment schemes, allowing you to provide exceptional support to our customers and drive business growth through strategic partnerships and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line application support for card payments systems
  • Analyse and troubleshoot transaction issues
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance and meet changing regulatory expectations
  • Enhance our card processing systems to align with strategic digital initiatives
  • Support transitions to tokenisation and smarter fraud monitoring
  • Provide operational support for critical incidents and outages

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of card payments, Visa, and FPA
  • Background in financial services, ideally in a digital or retail banking environment
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience working with third-party vendors and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of Agile practices and incident/change management processes
  • Resilience and adaptability with the ability to manage change, conflict, and resolve problems
  • Well-developed communications and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
