Job Title: CT Assistant

The role of a CT Assistant is crucial in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while undertaking cannulations. As part of our team, you will work across various clinics and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations.

About the Role:
  • Performing cannulations and providing patient care while adhering to established Policies, Procedures, and Protocols.
  • Analysing request forms and assisting staff to ensure the appropriate examination is performed to obtain optimal information.
  • Consulting with colleagues and Radiologists as needed.
  • Supporting CT Radiographers, nursing, and clinical staff by preparing patients for imaging examinations, including manual handling and positioning.
  • Assessing bookings and workflows proactively to maximise efficiency, while remaining flexible to accommodate urgent cases and walk-in patients.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver exceptional patient care through skilled cannulation techniques and effective communication.
  2. Contribute to a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding, patient-centred care.
  3. Ensure seamless workflow by managing scheduled appointments and communicating effectively with colleagues and patients.
  4. Develop strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability in cannulation or relevant experience in venepuncture.
  • Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Valid CPR certification or a willingness to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with radiology imaging systems (e.g., COMRAD, PACS) is a plus but not essential.
