About us

The Anchorage Hotel and Spa is a luxury resort located in the picturesque Port Stephens, providing guests with a stunning base for activities such as whale watching, sailing, exploring the local coastline or simply relaxing by our pools.

We offer world-class experiences including a showcase of the region's growing culinary reputation at The Galley Kitchen, and five-star indulgence at the on-site Spa Lucca.

Our restaurant, The Galley Kitchen, has been awarded Best Restaurant in a Hotel & Resort at the 2019 R&CA Savour Awards for Excellence.

Job Description:
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Set up restaurants according to booking requirements and customer requests.
  • Assist with rostering requirements and shift coverage.
  • Train new team members and assist with staff development plans.
  • Manage staff on shift.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Prepare and serve barista-standard coffee.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.
  • Facilitate room service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fine dining experience.
  • Good knowledge of wine or presentation of wine in a restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Ability to retain high standards in a busy position.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff.
