
Senior Leader

This role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of tactical plans and initiatives for construction sourcing and contract advisory services.
Operating within the broader procurement function, the position supports the achievement of both organisational and government objectives, while enhancing service efficiency and effectiveness to improve outcomes for the department and its stakeholders.
The successful candidate will drive the delivery of reliable, efficient and customer-focused procurement services and shape the department's constructions procurement strategy, champion best practice processes, and ensure resources are aligned to deliver high-impact outstanding outcomes for schools, communities and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate extensive experience at a senior level in the management of a large complex organisation.
- Exhibit leadership and management skills to inspire and provide oversight of teams of highly skilled staff in procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of tactical plans and initiatives for construction sourcing and contract advisory services.

- Shape the department's constructions procurement strategy and champion best practice processes.
About You:
- You have appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- You hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check).
- You demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- You exhibit demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management of a large complex organisation.
- You show leadership and management skills to inspire and provide oversight of teams of highly skilled staff in procurement.
- You have knowledge of and commitment to implementing the department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
