About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst in our Remediation team, you'll play a key role in leading the data response, advising Product Owners and applying strong data technical skills to source and analyse data to identify impacted accounts and calculate refunds, enabling remediation of our customers when we've got it wrong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, combining and analysing various data sets to tell an integrated story and solve business problems
  • Collaborating with other Data Analysts, Product Owners and Business Partners to deliver the analytics and reporting needs of the businesses in the most efficient way possible
  • Delivering key reporting activities in a coordinated way, ensuring consistent delivery and experience
  • Considering and ensuring specific requirements are incorporated in data analytics and reporting
  • Building collaborative relationships to facilitate active knowledge sharing across teams and identifying opportunities to improve processes and simplify for the end user
  • Coordinating and actioning periodic and ad hoc data and reporting requests

What We're Looking For

To grow and be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:

  • Expert ability to query, process and analyse large data sets in Hadoop/Big Data technologies using SQL, Python and/or PySpark
  • Expert ability to build (code, test, document) data solutions in accordance with business requirements and solution design
  • Strong knowledge of ANZ commercial and Insto products / data and an ability to describe customer experience by analysing customer / product data
  • Strong Merchant product and/or data knowledge
  • Strong customer focus and analytical / inquisitive mindset to continuously improve on data insights enabling proposal of practical business recommendations relating to remediation strategy and/or product forensics
  • Strong ability to strategize and effectively communicate data insights and present to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
  • Strong team ethic and collaborative contribution to squad deliverables
  • Strong coaching & mentoring skills and an ability to mobilize a small group of Data Analysts sharing a common goal
