Sydney, Australia is home to a growing need for Senior Abinitio Engineers. This 6-month contract (with extension possibilities) offers full working rights in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support and technical troubleshooting for Level 3 or above issues.
  • Mentor team members and offer technical guidance.
  • Implement industry best practices and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Design and deploy high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
  • Evaluate development time requirements for new features.
  • Develop and deliver data engineering/ETL solutions using Unix/Linux, Ab Initio and other relevant tools and frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency in data engineering/ETL principles and practices with Unix/Linux, Ab Initio and other integration tools.
  • Coding, design, debugging and problem-solving expertise.
  • Able to mentor and provide technical assistance to team members.
  • Mindset to apply and promote industry best practices.
  • Experience in developing and deploying high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
  • Ability to estimate development effort for new features.
  • Lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity.
  • Hands-on experience of 8-12 years in Ab Initio related products and shell scripting; background with both Batch and continuous flows is highly regarded.
  • Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other ETL tools.
  • AWS Cloud.
  • Knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka.
  • CI/CD concepts and ability to create pipelines in Jenkins, TeamCity, Ab Initio EME.
  • Coding - Python, Java.
  • DevOps and production support.
