About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Palliative Care team at UnitingCare. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality end-of-life care to clients and their families in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional palliative care services to clients and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of palliative care policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of palliative care services.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate in the employing State.
- Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Exhibit mid to senior level proficiency in general nursing, showcasing clinical expertise and a person-centered care approach.
- Prior experience or ongoing pursuit of qualifications in palliative care, pain management, or acute care is highly valued.
- Demonstrated aptitude in effective communication and collaboration with clients and stakeholders to address care requirements.
- Possess a current driver's license and the confidence to navigate rural and remote areas of Queensland.
