About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead our finance function, driving financial excellence and contributing to our organization's success.

We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager who can provide comprehensive financial support across our mandates. You will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate reporting and compliance, ensuring seamless month-end processes and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, manage external providers, and navigate complex tax and compliance matters.

As a leader in our finance team, you will mentor and develop our staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial and tax reporting, including monthly and quarterly fund reporting.
  • External Provider Management: Manage external providers responsible for trust administration and oversee the preparation of audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS/AASB standards.
  • Month-End Processes: Ensure smooth month-end processes and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accounting and Tax Issues: Lead resolution of accounting and tax issues in coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Policy and Governance: Provide policy and governance recommendations, monitor statutory compliance risks, and prepare compliance certificates.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A Commerce or Business degree majoring in accounting, with CA or CPA professional qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership and people management experience, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/AASB, financial regulations, and accounting/reporting systems, with experience preparing statutory reports and tax returns for trusts and companies.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
