Home Maintenance Worker

Description

We are seeking a skilled Home Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance and gardening services to clients in their homes.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older people and younger individuals with disabilities. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting clients to remain at home within Department of Health guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Assist other healthcare staff in provision of personal care and mobility duties for frail, aged, and younger disabled clients.
  • Carry out a wide range of non-trade maintenance and gardening services for home-based clients referred to Home Maintenance Services.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in general non-trade home maintenance and gardening procedures.
  • Understanding of building regulations related to minor home maintenance issues and safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of manual handling principles and correct use and care of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Eligibility
  • Current Driver's Licence
Desirable
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)
Work Details
  • Locations: St Johns Park and other community health centres in southern Tasmania.
  • Travel required across southern Tasmania.
  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
Salary and Benefits
  • Operational Health Officer, Level 2: $63,110 - $66,049 per annum.
