Job Overview

The role of Senior Medical Science Liaison is pivotal in providing medical and scientific expertise to drive clinical practice forward. As the scientific face of our immunology launch, you will be responsible for engaging key opinion leaders and ensuring evidence-based approaches are implemented effectively.

This position requires a deep understanding of immunology and the ability to communicate complex data effectively to various stakeholders. A strong background in KOL engagement, scientific exchange, and insight generation is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute strategically to patient journey mapping, launch excellence roadmaps, and integrated evidence-generation plans that underpin the immunology launch.
  2. Serve as the medical, clinical, and scientific expert within the field team, utilizing therapeutic-area knowledge to support internal stakeholders across functions (clinical research, market access).
  3. Identify, map, and engage with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and other healthcare professionals; develop personalized engagement strategies aligned with medical priorities.
  4. Respond promptly and compliantly to unsolicited medical information requests, ensuring delivery of accurate and timely scientific data.
  5. Support investigator-initiated studies and clinical trial initiatives, providing educational and operational input to potential and active sites.
  6. Contribute unique insights from the field informing broader medical strategy, evidence generation, and launch success.
  7. Manage administrative and compliance obligations, including CRM usage, expense reporting, and adherence to ethics and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or Master's in life/medical sciences) preferred; exceptional candidates with relevant experience also considered.
  • Strong scientific background in immunology, with an ability to communicate complex data effectively to key opinion leaders and internal teams.
  • Proven experience in KOL engagement, scientific exchange, and insight generation ideally having supported a product launch or field-led medical strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to tailor messaging across diverse healthcare audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing travel across VIC, SA, and TAS.
  • Experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or related roles within pharma/biotech will be highly valued.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and comfort with administrative tasks.
  • Strong alignment with compliance, regulatory, and ethical standards.
