Senior Geotechnical Engineer

SA Water is seeking a qualified Senior Engineer to provide technical expertise and guidance in geotechnical engineering matters.
As a key member of the Engineering team, you will collaborate with business partners to adopt innovative technologies and support geotechnical investigation.
Your expertise will be crucial in resolving issues for optimal outcomes, and you will influence and contribute to the corporation's engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support in geotechnical engineering matters across the corporation.
- Offer technical guidance in Safety in Design (SiD) matters ensuring compliance across all geotechnical activities.
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to enhance the teams' capabilities and with contractors, vendors, and engineering providers to meet requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies for adoption.
- Work effectively within the solutions team collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired engineering outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of geotechnical engineering procedures and practices.
- Experience in the provision of investigation, concept, and detailed design of geotechnical infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in the executing complex and critical engineering investigations.
- Knowledge to develop project-specific geotechnical specifications.
- Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia (EA) or in the process of obtaining chartership with EA is desirable.
- A valid driver's license is required.
