Job Overview
  • Collaborate with risk and analytics teams to enhance credit processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize data, models, and systems to improve credit reporting and analytics across Westpac's Corporate and Institutional Bank.
  • Work closely with product and industry teams, risk and compliance, and other divisional stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, effective model usage, and smooth portfolio operations.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Credit Risk Analyst to join our Credit & Capital team within Westpac's Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB). This role plays a key part in credit risk reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance across divisional and group forums. You will support the delivery of credit reporting obligations, contribute to model development and embedment, and act as a business SME for core technology platforms.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including risk and compliance, product and industry, and other divisional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of credit processes and data visualisation. You will also stay up-to-date with market and regulatory developments and help drive improvements in credit reporting and analytics.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney, offering a collaborative team environment and exposure to strategic initiatives across the bank.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of credit and credit risk in an institutional or commercial banking environment.
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, R or Python, ability to work with complex systems and data.
  • Relevant qualifications in business, finance, or accounting or mathematics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across teams and influence outcomes.
