Senior Finance Partner

Virgin Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Partner to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the planning, efficiency, productivity, revenue opportunities, and cost management across our commercial departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to support the Chief Commercial Officer and General Managers in driving business performance.
  • Perform detailed analysis, generate insights, and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Regularly engage with and present to senior management and executives on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and drive the identification of opportunities to improve performance.
  • Own the planning and reporting process for relevant departments, and provide support to partners to hold them accountable to performance metrics and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Science-related field.
  • Extensive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and/or an analytics-based role, or equivalent experience in Management Consulting/Big 4/MBB.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders and presenting to General Managers.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability (Advanced Excel) and pragmatic approach to producing revenue/cost estimates under tight timelines.
  • Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint development and ability to present to stakeholders).
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts and models quickly, and distil analysis and insight to simple, easy to understand output.
  • Familiarity working in a ASX 200/public company and an understanding of the economic drivers in commercial divisions.
