About the Role: This is a hybrid role that combines supervisory and hands-on work, ideally suited to a Senior Accountant with some supervisory experience who wants to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the performance of a team of tax compliance professionals, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and operational targets achieved
  • Provide high-level oversight and support, including training junior staff and ensuring the quality of work
  • Engage directly with complex clients, including handling tax returns and managing a portfolio with 50+ entities
  • Participate in business development activities, including drafting proposals and maintaining client relationships

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified accountant with at least 1 year' experience in a supervisory role within a mid-tier or specialist boutique business advisory firm
  • CA/CPA certified with a strong background in tax compliance and advisory services
  • Proven experience managing a client list, including confident communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Ability to handle complex business scenarios, including mergers and acquisitions, litigation and dispute resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop junior staff, with strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Familiarity with high-level tax issues, such as Div 7A, CGT, GST and FBT
