Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assessment Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the day-to-day operations of applications for Victims of Crime Assistance, including responding to correspondence and liaising with applicants and/or solicitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess applications made under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act and provide relevant information and advice as required.
  • Finalise applications for hearing or decisions on paper, including preparing associated payment requests.
  • Undertake all duties associated with the Victims Support Services website, ensuring the information is current and easily understood.
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's policy, procedures, and practices.
  • Liaise with Government and non-Government organisations to maximise their input to the delivery of services to victims of crime.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current driver's licence is desirable.
