Product Owner - Real-Time Treasury Platform

Westpac Institutional Banking is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to lead the development of our Real-Time Treasury Platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product roadmap, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the platform meets the needs of our institutional customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the transaction banking and liquidity management domains
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a world-class real-time, multi-currency liquidity management solution
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring the platform meets the needs of our institutional customers
  • Manage the product backlog, including supporting backlog prioritization, program increment, and sprint planning
  • Lead the requirements squad team to document the Agile backlog and work with technology to refine the solution design and low-level user stories

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of transaction banking and liquidity management domains, with experience in deposit and cash management products, digital corporate banking channels, and transaction banking platforms
  • Proven experience in product management disciplines, including product strategy, economics, and compliance
  • Experience in Agile practices, including backlog management and prioritization, user story definition, and refinement
  • Strong facilitation and elicitation skills, with a track record of successfully conducting workshops and extracting critical insights
  • Ability to manage own time, working independently, while leading others to meet specified objectives within given deadlines
