We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team at the Parliament of Australia. As a key member of our Property Services Branch, you will be responsible for leading a small team responsible for timely and efficient provision of collection and distribution services in Australian Parliament House.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a small team responsible for managing the department's furniture relocations within APH.
- Oversee and contribute to the management of logistics fleet and related equipment throughout its entire lifecycle.
- Manage the Departments waste collection arrangements ensuring services meet the client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Perform the duties of a Contract Manager in the administration of a small number of waste removal and delivery services contracts.
- Undertake a range of planning activities to ensure service delivery is maintained during times of heighted activity or as a result of an unanticipated service disruption.
- Undertake a range of risk management activities to ensure all logistic services comply with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, and other standards.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures that provide clear guidance on the provision and management of logistic services.
- Perform the role of the department's Disposal Official including providing advice and coordinating the disposal of departmental assets.
- Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives that contribute to business improvements.
- Demonstrated experience in a logistical and/or loading dock environment.
- Demonstrated high level administrative skills.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement with a client focused approach.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

Currently, the salary range for this position is $94,259 - $105,941 per annum.
