Strategic Business Growth Manager

Country Road Group is embarking on a transformative journey to position itself for sustained growth, leveraging its scale, capabilities, and culture as a House of Brands. We are investing in new and existing capabilities, creating exciting opportunities across our iconic brands, including Country Road, POLITIX, Trenery, Witchery, and MIMCO.
The Strategic Business Growth Manager will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of allocated strategic customer growth opportunities for the Country Road Group and its brands. This role will involve conducting analysis, collaborating cross-functionally, and interpreting results to create clear, actionable recommendations with implementation plans. Additionally, this individual will coach, mentor, and informally manage more junior team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of allocated strategic customer growth opportunities, framing problems, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, collaborating cross-functionally, interpreting results, estimating prize sizes in commercial terms, and culminating in clear, actionable recommendations for brands.
- Customer opportunities may include topics such as pricing and promotions, international expansion, product design process improvements to incorporate feedback, optimizing returns processes to balance customer satisfaction with commercial outcomes.
- Identify needs for and lead work with external agencies on discrete pieces of work where required for niche topics.
- Create high-level, actionable plans within opportunities to implement strategic customer growth initiatives and partner with relevant teams to hand over to implementation, ensuring change is actioned and embedded with buy-in.
- Independently perform ad-hoc pieces of analysis on customer topics to meet the needs of the Group and brands.
- Contribute to the preparation of ELT/Board reporting on Customer and C&D.
Key Capabilities
- Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting or strategy team at a high-performing organization.
- Strategic background with structured problem-solving skills and a curious mindset.
- Leadership and people development skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills to interrogate data, spot opportunities, synthesize data, and turn it into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with stakeholders at mid-senior levels (up to 'Head of') of the organization and occasionally presenting full presentations at senior levels (e.g., GM/MD level, ELT).
