Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge software systems that drive data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design and build bespoke software components for data pipelines using Python or other programming languages, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Architect and maintain reliable, efficient data pipelines utilizing leading-edge technologies, such as distributed computing frameworks and real-time streaming technologies.
  • System Optimization: Monitor system performance to ensure low latency, high throughput, and optimal resource utilization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to align on tools, strategies, and best practices for data engineering, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth.
  • Reliability and Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools to guarantee reliability and seamless operation of real-time data streams, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Documentation and Standards: Create clear documentation for software architectures, processes, and best practices, facilitating knowledge transfer and team collaboration.
  • Tech Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers while contributing to the growth of the data engineering function, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in software or data engineering roles, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with familiarity with system-level programming languages being advantageous.
  • Experience designing custom software solutions for distributed systems or large-scale data processing pipelines, leveraging modern data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and relational databases, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • A proven ability to lead projects independently, effectively communicating technical concepts across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, driving innovation and business growth.
