About the Role

As a Home Care Worker with Aged Care Resumes, you will play a vital role in delivering direct personal care and domestic assistance to clients in Castlemaine and surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including assisting clients with showering, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs
  • Assisting with domestic tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Observing clients' physical, emotional, and behavioural status, and reporting any observations or concerns
  • Ensuring clients' clothing and personal belongings are kept safe and well-maintained
  • Providing social support and transportation services as required
  • Ensuring that clients' rights, cultural, spiritual, and other individual needs are respected in all aspects of care and daily living
  • Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with clients, their relatives, and friends

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their work and dedicated to improving the lives of our clients. To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability), or be currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
  • Previous experience in a home care setting or in providing domestic support (desirable)
  • Knowledge of community care and a commitment to maintaining high standards for clients and their families
  • An understanding of client-directed care
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment while also valuing one-on-one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life - Believe, Excel, Support, Trust
