About the Opportunity:

This senior role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing data risk management practices across various divisions. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to implement a proactive risk culture, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in risk practice and data management, preferably within financial services. They will bring a strong understanding of non-financial risk and regulatory environments, as well as a proven track record in developing and implementing risk frameworks.

A key responsibility will be to provide pragmatic risk advice, design and uplift controls, and deliver insights that support informed decision-making. This includes strengthening the control environment, managing risk profiles, and leading risk-in-change assessments.

This leadership opportunity also involves mentoring risk analysts and collaborating across the three lines of defence to deliver best-practice risk management outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and logical reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management capabilities and ability to lead and mentor others
  • Data Management, Cybersecurity and Technology expertise
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CDMP or CPA highly regarded
