The role of a Security Advisor involves ensuring the security of people, information, property and operations based at a military base.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the implementation of internal security controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections.
- Identify gaps and develop corrective actions.
- Communicate results to security management and stakeholders as required.
This position requires collaboration with specialists, project managers and team members on the development and maintenance of Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, and Governance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities, protecting sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure, and assisting in the administration of security protocols to ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements:- Familiarity with managing information and protective security operations & programs for the government.
- Highly organized, task-oriented, self-starter that demonstrates a high degree of initiative and requires minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt plans, goals and actions in response to an evolving environment.
Candidates must be citizens of the country to meet defence security requirements.
In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding people, information, property and operations based at a military base. You will work closely with experts, project managers and colleagues to maintain high standards of security and ensure compliance with regulations.
