We are seeking an experienced Principal Hydrogeologist to join our Sydney office and help grow our groundwater team. As a Principal Hydrogeologist, you will play a pivotal role in helping grow our presence in Sydney and leading complex groundwater projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership through the delivery of groundwater projects and support the growth and success of the groundwater team.
- Contribute to business development activities and the growth of a Sydney groundwater team.
- Demonstrate and deliver on technically accurate groundwater data analysis and reporting.
- Manage medium and large-scale projects from proposal to completion, building strong client relationships and communication.
- Work across a broad range of project types, from water/groundwater management plans, compliance reporting, trigger or water supply/security investigations, ecohydrological assessments, impact assessments, mine closure studies and legal work.
- Provide expert advice on groundwater/water issues, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other technical disciplines to develop innovative and tailored solutions.
- Provide positive leadership and guidance to junior staff and work with Hydrogeology lead, fostering a collaborative, productive and fun work environment.
- Degree qualifications in Hydrogeology, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water/environmental consulting.
- Sound capabilities in managing hydrogeological/water related projects.
- Strong leadership with a people focus, thriving in a fun, friendly environment that values work-life balance, while delivering innovative, high-quality technical work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment.
