Engineering Director - Train Controls:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our Train Control Systems team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail signalling, control systems, or train control technologies, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical direction of projects involving Train Control Systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve technical efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and System Assurance teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design, implementation, and testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering).
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in rail signalling, control systems, or train control technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing technical strategies to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Strong technical expertise in industry standards for Train Control Systems (e.g., ETCS, CBTC).
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
