Frame and Truss Detailer Position

We are seeking a skilled Frame and Truss Detailer to support our growth in the commercial market. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing designs for Timber Frames, Trusses, and Floor Systems using software such as Pryda and CAD.

The successful candidate will work from home or one of our manufacturing sites in QLD or NSW, ensuring accurate detailing and estimation quantities for clients within agreed time frames for Frame, Truss, and Floor Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop designs for Timber Frames, Trusses, and Floor Systems
  • Build relationships with Account Managers and deal directly with clients in the Residential Construction Industry
  • Collaborate with our Detailing Co-ordinator and contribute to a team environment

As a detailer in this position, you will be responsible for:

  1. Designing frame and truss systems that meet customer specifications
  2. Providing detailed estimates and quotations for customers
  3. Working closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of building industry codes and products
  • Previous experience in building design or construction
  • Familiarity with engineering/drawing programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills for building plans
  • Proficiency in software packages like Pryda or AutoCAD
