Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Area Planner to lead operational planning activities at our Wagga Wagga site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with area managers and site managers to ensure adherence to plans and optimal planning.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and grain protection teams to allocate assets effectively and ensure the right commodities and commodity grades are available within the cluster.
  • Contribute to the development of the weekly site opening plan that best supports growers and customers and optimal allocation of sites.
  • Provide continuous improvement suggestions to enhance planning and scheduling for clusters within Southern NSW.
  • Schedule tasks at a site level including outloading, transfers, receivals, stocktakes, site hygiene, and grain protection.
  • Routinely manage timesheets, update task status, plan constraints, and develop work plans for week +1.
  • Manage operational challenges in a timely and calm manner.
Requirements:

A background in scheduling or planning will be highly regarded, even outside of agriculture.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.

An understanding of agricultural practices and procedures would be advantageous but is not essential.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as required.

The successful candidate will be based at our Wagga Wagga site and will be required to travel regularly to other sites within the cluster.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines, therefore the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail is essential.
