Job Overview

The Compliance Leader is responsible for driving a culture of security and compliance within the organization.

This role involves leading a team in improving the company's data & security compliance posture by reducing the risk of security incidents through efficient data and security controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a data and security compliance management team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Assess data and security compliance requirements across all areas of the organization.
  • Ensure security compliance obligations are met across the organization.
  • Maintain the information security management framework.
  • Engage service providers delivering services related to data and security compliance practice.
  • Maintain a comprehensive program of automated and manual data & security testing.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness materials and training to staff.
  • Respond to customer and supplier security assessments.
  • Provide measurement and reporting of compliance position.
  • Work with all areas of the organization to ensure business continuity plans are in place.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to help them become the best versions of themselves.
  • Recruit, manage leave, perform reviews, and develop staff.
  • Mentor product team members about data and security awareness of compliance concerns.

Success Metrics

  • All changes to infrastructure meet compliance standards.
  • Security assessments are completed for all new third-party software and technology services.
  • Audits and compliance assessment activities are completed successfully.
  • Business Continuity Plans are developed, maintained, and tested.
  • Security policy and standards address current risks and compliance requirements.
  • Teams collaborate together to achieve operational performance goals.
  • Staff are high performing and highly engaged.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years in a role in an information security and Compliance management practice.
  • 5+ years in a role in a Data Compliance management practice.
  • Implement risk management and information management security frameworks.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining a highly motivated team.
  • Recognised as a technical lead or senior contributor in your team.
