A Teaching Assistant Opportunity for Recent Graduates

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed teaching assistants to work within a range of primary schools across Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates considering a career in teaching who wish to gain hands-on classroom experience in a supportive, school-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.">
  • Support individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs.">
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.">
  • Contribute to the assessment of pupil progress through observation and feedback.">
  • Support the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.">
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold school values.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Previous experience working with children (in any capacity) is highly desirable.">
  • A degree (minimum 2:2) in any subject is essential – education-related degrees are desirable.">
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or working with children.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting learning.">
  • An up-to-date CV and enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).">
