Payroll Specialist

At DCOH, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Payroll Processing: Complete payroll checks related to timesheets, leave entitlements, overtime, Time in Lieu, and other related matters.
- Payroll Disbursements: Complete payroll disbursements for Weekly, Fortnightly, and Monthly payroll.
- Payroll Reconciliations: Manage PAYG reconciliations and timely payments.
- Time in Lieu (TIL) Records: Maintain and update TIL records for relevant entities.
- Inter-Company Transactions: Process, reconcile, and assist team for all inter-company transactions as and when required.
- Payroll Tax: Calculate and report Payroll Tax as required by applicable regulations.
- General Ledger Accounts: Review and reconcile payroll-related General Ledger accounts, making necessary adjustments.
- Payment Summaries: Undertake monthly/quarterly payment summary reconciliation.
- Superannuation Payments: Conduct superannuation payments in accordance with legal requirements.
- Child Support Payments: Process child support payments as mandated.
- Workers' Compensation Reimbursements: Claim workers' compensation reimbursements from the insurer and follow up for payments as required.
- Employee Turnover Reports: Generate monthly Employee Turnover reports to monitor workforce trends.
- Leave Accrual Reports: Produce Leave Accrual reports for distribution to relevant parties.
- Management Reporting: Generating and providing data for monthly management reporting.
- Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Reports: Prepare and submit reports.
- EOFY Payroll Reconciliation: Execute end-of-financial-year (EOFY) payroll reconciliation procedures.
- Leave Provisions: Reconcile EOFY leave provisions and prepare associated work papers.
- Auditing Processes: Assist in auditing processes as required.
- Time and Attendance System: Administer the time and attendance system (HumanForce) and its ongoing enhancements.
- Employee Record System: Maintain a robust documented employee record system with updates for new appointments, changes in terms of employment, and terminations.
- Required Filings and Documentation: Complete required filings and documentation in a timely manner.
- Ad-Hoc Requests: Handle ad-hoc requests as needed to support the payroll function and broader HR objectives.
