Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Social Outings: Safely transport clients to appointments and social events, promoting their independence and social interaction.
  • Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Prepare healthy meals and snacks, ensuring clients receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
  • Household Assistance: Assist with light domestic duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship, helping clients feel connected and valued.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Must be available to work during the week and on weekends, with a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Background Checks: Undergo a National Police Check and NDIS Worker Check, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment for clients.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Flu Vaccination: Possess a current flu vaccination, protecting clients from illness.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a current First Aid Certificate, ensuring prompt response to emergencies.
  • Experience with Dementia Clients: Previous experience working with clients with dementia, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Certification in Individual Support: Hold a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or Aged Care, showcasing expertise in care provision.
