As a vital member of our support team, you will play a key role in delivering quality care to families.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a motivated cleaner to join our early childhood education and care team on site.

About your new role:

  • Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell, requires attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Laundry washing and folding is an important part of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture ensures that our facilities are presented in a professional manner.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens is critical for preventing the spread of illness and infection.
  • Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensuring they are streak free requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials is essential for ensuring we have everything needed to do the job effectively.
  • Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely is crucial for protecting ourselves and others.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational or commercial setting is highly valued.
  • Current blue card or willingness to obtain is a must for this role.
  • Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals is essential.
  • Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures is critical for success in this role.
  • Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus is essential.
